Aminex’s company policy is to conduct its operations in a safe and environmentally responsible manner; the company works as far as possible to World Bank international guidelines and adheres to environmental guidelines approved by the Host Governments.

In Tanzania and Madagascar, Aminex is aware of the fragile ecology in the vicinity of its work sites and incorporates the need for safe and environmentally sound practices in all its planning and work specifications. The seismic acquisition programmes carried out in 2007 have been following strict environmental guidelines to ensure a minimum disturbance approach is taken.

 

Social policy

Aminex’s policy is to use local labour and expertise where it can. The company undertakes training of local personnel which encourages their integration into the company’s operations and has been leading an active programme of hiring local personnel in host countries.

• 90km long road in a poor environment

 

Aminex is an active contributor to the western Australian Surgical Mission which regularly sends groups of volunteers surgeons with their staff and equipment to Tanzania to perform operations on children with birth defects and burns injuries.
